- 8 oz. half and half
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Mix sugar, baking soda and half and half in large saucepan on stove.

2Bring to soft boil stage (240° on candy thermometer), stirring constantly.

3Turn off stove; let set.

4When settled, beat with electric mixer until smooth (it will be thin).

5Add vanilla and pecans as it thickens.

6Spoon out on wax paper.

7Cool.

8Makes about 18 pralines.
