  • 2 1/2 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Butter sides of heavy 1-quart saucepan.

    Stir sugar, vanilla and sour cream together in the saucepan.

    Continue to stir until all melts and then cook to soft ball stage (236° on a candy thermometer).

    Add vanilla; beat until mixture thickens.

    Add the pecan halves and stir until all are coated.

    Turn out on greased platter.

    Separate the nuts after they cool.
