  • 1 doz. peeled carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. chopped basil leaves

    Slice carrots into 1/8-inch thick rounds.

    Steam, covered, over boiling water for 10 minutes.

    Melt butter in a large saucepan and add maple syrup.

    Stir.

    Add the carrots, basil and salt.

    Stir gently until carrots are well coated with the sauce and basil leaves.

    Pour into an attractive bowl to serve.
