- 1 pkg. fresh active yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg yolk, beaten with 1 tsp. coarse salt

Directions

1In a large bowl put the warm water and yeast and stir until dissolved.

2Add sugar, salt and mix flour.

3Knead 8 minutes.

4Put in a bowl and let it rise until it looks double in its size. Grease cookie sheet, shape them and paint them with egg yolk and sprinkle with salt.

5Bake on 475° for 10 minutes.
