  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 4 c. flour or bread flour
  • 1 tsp. light salt (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Egg Beaters, beaten (1/4 c.)
  • nonfat cooking spray
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in 1 1/2 cups warm water.

    Add 4 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar.

    Mix well.

    On a lightly floured surface, knead the mixture well with your hands.

    Roll pieces of dough into any shape you like.

    Place them on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with a nonfat cooking spray.

    In a small bowl, beat Egg Beaters. Brush the tops of the dough with the Egg Beaters.

    Sprinkle with coarse salt.

    Bake the pretzels at 425° for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
