  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Mix yeast, salt, water and sugar in a bowl; add flour.

    Put dough on wax paper and knead.
  3. 3
    Cut off pieces and make into pretzel shapes, not too thick or thin.

    Put on cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
  5. 5
    Make sure to cover all surface of pretzel with the egg.

    Then sprinkle with salt.

    Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes, until browned.
