  • 2 c. basil leaves
  • 5 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil (very good quality)
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh pine nuts
  • 3 to 5 cloves fresh garlic, halved
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except cheese, in food processor or blender.

    Puree until smooth.

    Stir in cheese.

    Yields 1 cup.
