Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 (6 oz.) jar Gerber prunes and tapioca
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking soda in 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. unsifted flour

Directions

    Add salt and cinnamon to flour, then mix in order given, adding dry ingredients with buttermilk and soda mixture.

    Pour into 2 well-greased and floured pans or 4 small ones.

    Bake in a loaf pan for 1/2 hour at 350° and 1/2 hour at 325°, or in small pans for 25 minutes at 350° and 25 minutes at 325°.
