  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. pitted prunes, chopped

Directions

    Mix all dry ingredients in bowl.

    Add egg yolks, oil and buttermilk.

    Mix well.

    Add chopped prunes.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Pour in a greased tube pan.

    Bake at 350° for 70 to 75 minutes.
