  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. cooked prunes
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream together the sugar and oil.

    Fold in eggs and add alternately the dry ingredients and milk.

    Mix thoroughly and add nuts, cooked prunes and vanilla.

    Bake in a regular sheet cake pan for 1 hour at 300°.
