- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 3 eggs (unbeaten)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp. each: soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice
- 1/4 tsp. salt (more if desired)
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped stewed prunes
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Blend sugar and oil.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating between additions.

3Add vanilla, then alternately, the dry ingredients and milk.

4Stir in prunes and nuts.

5Bake in an 11 x 8 x 2-inch pan for 1 hour at 325°.
