- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. Wesson oil or butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 c. cooked prunes, chopped
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Mix sugar and Wesson oil; add eggs, one at a time.

2Sift flour and other dry ingredients together.

3Add to sugar, Wesson oil and egg mixture.

4Add milk and vanilla.

5Beat until smooth and add nuts and prunes, mixing well.

6Pour in greased pan and bake at 375° until done.

7Leave in pan and pour icing over while still hot.
