Ingredients: 1 1/2 c. sugar; 1 c. vegetable oil; 3 eggs; 2 c. flour; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. nutmeg; 1 tsp. allspice; 1/4 tsp. salt; 1 c. buttermilk; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1 c. chopped nuts; 1 c. cooked and seeded chopped prunes

1 c. vegetable oil

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cooked and seeded chopped prunes

Directions

Mix first 3 ingredients.

Sift flour with soda, cinnamon nutmeg, allspice and salt.

Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk and vanilla.

Then add nuts and prunes.

Pour into greased and floured 13x9-inch pan and bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until tests done.

While cake is still hot, ice with Buttermilk Icing.
