Ingredients: 1/2 c. Crisco; 1 stick margarine; 3 c. sugar; 3 c. flour; 1/2 tsp. baking powder; 1 c. milk; 6 eggs; 1 tsp. lemon extract; 1 tsp. vanilla; food coloring (yellow, green or red; use as much as desired to make shades you desire. Start with 1 drop.)

1 stick margarine
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
6 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla
food coloring (yellow, green or red; use as much as desired to make shades you desire. Start with 1 drop.)

Cream shortening and butter together; add sugar, then eggs. Sift flour and baking powder together and add to batter alternately with milk.

Add flavoring.

Mix batter well.

Separate batter into 3 bowls.

Color each bowl desired colors.

Grease and flour large tube pan.

Pour colored batter alternately into pan; set in cold oven and set at 375° and cook for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and cook for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
