Ingredients

  • 2 c. fruit (blueberry, raspberry or apples)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar (3/4 c. with apples)
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar (Use 3/4 c. with apples)
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. boiling water

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Place fruit in bottom of a 9 x 9 pan. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, margarine, sugar and milk and pour over fruit.

    Spread to cover.

    Mix together the 1/2 c. sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle over cake.

    Pour water over the top. Bake for 45 minutes.
