- 2 tbl chili powder
- 1 tbl ground cumin
- 1 tsp light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- pinch ground red pepper
- 4.5 lb boneless pork shoulder
- Hamburger buns
- barbecue sauce (see recipe)
Directions

1Combine first five ingredients. Rub mixture all over pork. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate 3 hours to overnight.

2Heat oven to 300 degrees. Remove pork from plastic and place on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast 4-5 hours until thermometer registers 170 degrees. Remove from oven and let stand 20 minutes.

3Pull prok to shreds and serve on buns with sauce.

4Can be made 2 days ahead.
