- 6 cups chicken stock
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely minced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream

11 Simmer pumpkin in the chicken stock until soft and tender about 25 minutes.
