  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. hot, mashed pumpkin
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add egg and blend well.

    Dissolve pumpkin in soda.

    Stir into creamed mixture.

    Add all dry ingredients.

    Add pecans last.

    Pour into loaf pan and bake in 350° oven for 1 hour.
