- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
- 2 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2/3 c. chopped pecans
- 2/3 c. dates, cut up
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar gradually.

2Add eggs; beat well.

3Blend in water, pumpkin and sifted dry ingredients.

4Fold in pecans and dates.

5Pour into 2 greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pans. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
