Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. packed dark brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 c. white flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 1/2 c. toasted almonds or chopped walnuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar at medium speed until fluffy.

3Beat in eggs then pumpkin and molasses (it will curdle); set aside.

4In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients; gradually mix dry and wet ingredients together until blended.

5Stir in nuts.

6Pour into 2 buttered 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.

7Bake 60 to 65 minutes.

8Knife should come out clean.

9Cool.
