  • 1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix, save 1 cup for topping (2-layer)
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 3 eggs
  • 23 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup reserved cake mix
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 cup pecans

Directions

    Mix together cake mix (except 1 cup), 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened, and 1 egg and press into 9x13-inch pan.

    Mix filling: 1 can (16oz) pumpkin, 3 eggs, 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 cup sugar.

    Mix filling and pour over crust.

    Mix 1 cup reserved cake mix, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter.
