Pumpkin Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can pumpkin
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix (with pudding)
  • 1 c. nuts (walnuts), chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. butter

Directions

    Mix first 7 ingredients together.

    Place mixture into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Sprinkle yellow cake mix over pumpkin mixture, then sprinkle with nuts.

    Drizzle 1 1/2 cups butter on top.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Serves 12 or more.

    May top with whipped topping or cream.
