Ingredients

  • 1 jar (7 oz.) maraschino cherries
  • 5 medium bananas
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange gelatin
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice or apricot nectar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 qt. water
  • 2 qt. ginger ale
  • 1/2 gal. orange or pineapple sherbet

Directions

    Put cherries and bananas in blender and grind to fine pulp. Pour into gallon jar.

    Add gelatin (dissolved in boiling water), juices, sugar and water. Chill.

    Just before serving, add ginger ale and sherbet.

    Will serve about 50 punch cups.

    Another 46-ounce can of orange juice and quart of ginger ale may be added to serve more people without impairing flavor.
