  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 (4 oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding, mix and chill
  • 3 bananas
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans fruit cocktail, drained
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans coconut
  • 2 (8 oz.) containers Cool Whip
  • 2 cans crushed pineapple, drained

Directions

    Bake cake according to directions in 2 round pans.

    Cool. Using a 6-quart punch bowl, place 1 cake layer (broken) in bowl. Add 1/2 of each of the other ingredients in this order:

    pudding, bananas, pie filling, fruit cocktail, pineapple, nuts, coconut and Cool Whip.

    Repeat layers; chill.

    Decorate with maraschino cherries and nuts, if desired.
