  • 1 (9-inch) deep dish pastry shell
  • 12 slices fried, crumbled bacon
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese (4 oz.)
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper

    Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry shell.

    Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients.

    Pour cream mixture into pie shell.

    Bake 15 minutes at 425°.

    Reduce oven temperature to 300° and bake 30 minutes longer.
