- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup dark beer
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

2Melt butter and add to dry ingredients.

3Pour beer over all and mix with a wooden spoon. Batter will be very soft.

4Spoon into a greased loaf pan.

5Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until deeply browned.

6Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
