- 12 cup butter
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 34 cup buttermilk
- melted butter
Directions

1Cut 1/2 cup butter into flour with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

2Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

3Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 3 to 4 times.

4Roll dough to 3/4 inch thick, cut with a 2 inch biscuit cutter.

5Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

6Bake at 425F for 13 to 15 minutes.

7Brush with melted butter.
