- 1 c. oleo
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
- powdered sugar (to dust over top)
Directions

1In large bowl, cream together oleo and sugar.

2Add eggs; beat until light and fluffy.

3Add almond extract.

4Stir in flour and baking powder.

5Mix until smooth.

6Butter a 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Pour batter in pan.

7Spoon pie filling with the cake mixture in different places.

8Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden and cake tests done.

9Filling will sink into the cake while baking.

10Serve warm with sweetened whipping cream or Cool Whip.
