  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut (shredded)
  • 8 oz. butter, melted
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk

Directions

    Heat oven to 180C/350F.

    Grease and line a 23 cm.

    (9-inch) cake tin.

    Melt butter in a large saucepan.

    Stir in the sugar and allow to cool slightly.

    Add all the other ingredients.

    Stir to mix.

    Pour into prepared cake tin.

    Bake in pre-heated oven for about 40 minutes.
