- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil or margarine
- 4 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine sugar, vegetable oil and buttermilk; stir enough flour to make a soft dough.

3Place dough on lightly floured surface.

4Knead 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth and elastic.

5Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.

6Cut with floured 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.

7Place a bat of butter in center and fold roll in half.

8Place rolls on heavily greased baking sheet; cover and let rise until double in size.

9Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

10Makes about 2 dozen.
