- 1 yeast cake
- 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. melted lard
Directions

1Scald milk and let cool until lukewarm.

2Soak yeast cake in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.

3Mix all ingredients.

4Sift enough flour in pan to make up as you would biscuits.

5Make dough a little stiffer than biscuit dough. Set to rise in greased container.

6Let rise until double itself.

7Work again slightly on floured board. Roll out with rolling pin.

8Cut out with small cutter; place in greased pan to rise.

9Bake in oven (hot).

10Makes about 20 rolls.
