Ingredients
- about 5 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. milk, scalded and slightly cooled
- 1/2 c. hot tap water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. melted butter
Directions

1Combine half the flour and all of the yeast in a bowl and blend.

2Add milk, water, sugar, salt and egg, then mix.

3Beat with a beater about 3 minutes; add butter and remaining flour gradually and knead until smooth and satiny.

4Place in a lightly greased bowl; grease surface of dough lightly.

5Cover and allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk (about 30 to 40 minutes).

6Turn out on lightly floured board; punch down and allow to rest about 10 minutes.

7Divide dough into 36 parts and make into balls.
