  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 4 to 5 c. flour
  • 5 Tbsp. shortening
  • 5 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Mix in other ingredients with enough flour to make dough stiff.

    Let rise, then make into rolls.

    Let rise again, then bake at 350° until golden brown.
