  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 c. flour

    Sprinkle yeast over warm water; add sugar and salt with 1/2 the

    Put in beaten egg and melted shortening.

    add the rest of the flour.

    Cover and let rise until double in bulk.

    in greased muffin pans or make into 12 rolls. Let it rise.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
