- 1 pkg. quick rise yeast
- 1 c. warm milk
- 2 c. plain flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in milk, add sugar and mix well.

2Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening together.

3Add yeast mixture to flour mixture; stir to mix.

4This is real sticky to start with so knead on well floured board by working more flour into dough until it is of rolling consistency.

5Roll out 1/4-inch thick and cut in desired shape.

6Dip in melted butter.

7Stack 2 biscuits together. Let rise until double in size.

8Bake at 400° for 12 minutes or until brown.
