- 1 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar (scant)
- 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening.

3Stir in yeast and buttermilk and roll out.

4Cut into biscuits.

5Do not let rise. Bake at 500° or 475°.
