- 4 lbs shrimp, peeled
- 1 cup corn oil
- 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- bamboo skewer
Directions

1Combine shrimp with all of the above ingredients in a large bowl.

2Stir to coat shrimp.

3Refrigerate covered for two hours, stir occasionally.

4Soak bamboo skewers in ice water for 2 hours to prevent their burning.

5Preheat grill.

6Drain shrimp, reserving marinade.

7Thread shrimp on skewers.

8Grill just until shrimp turn pink, basting with marinade.

9Serve immediately.
