Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sweet milk
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1 yeast cake, dissolved in water

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Cut in shortening and add liquids.

    Put in bowl and store in fridge.

    Roll very thin; cut with biscuit cutter.

    Dip each biscuit in melted butter and place double decker in pan.

    Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

    Bake the same as biscuits, at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
