- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 2 c. dry bread cubes
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
Directions

1Pour milk over bread and let stand until bread is soft.

2Add eggs, sugar, salt, cinnamon, raisins and vanilla.

3Mix. Pour into greased baking dish.

4Sprinkle with nutmeg.

5Bake in a moderately slow oven (325°) for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until lightly browned and a silver knife, when inserted, comes out clean.
