  • 1 box seedless raisins
  • 3 c. water
  • 1/4 lb. oleo
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. baking soda

Directions

    Cook raisins in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes.

    Add oleo; after oleo melts, add 1 cup of cold water and sugar.

    Sift flour with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking soda.

    Add flour mixture to raisin mixture.

    Stir well and pour into a greased tube pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
