  • 1 cup flour
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 12 cup milk
  • 1 12 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350.

    In a casserole dish, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder and raising.

    Mix well.

    Add milk and beat until well blended.

    In a measuring cup, combine boiling water, vanilla, butter and sugar.

    Mix well.

    Pour boiling water mixture over a spoon into the casserole dish.

    Bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

    Note: I will make this up in advance and gently heat in the oven before serving.
