- 1 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cover raisins with water; boil for 10 minutes, or until half the water is left.

2Cream shortening and sugar.

3Add egg and vanilla; beat.

4Mix flour, soda, salt and cinnamon together; add to the creamed mixture.

5Add the raisins and juice and fold in. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

6Makes 1 dozen.
