- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. raisin water
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Boil raisins in 2 cups water for 20 minutes; set aside to cool.

2Sift dry ingredients, except sugar.

3Mix sugar and shortening.

4Add beaten eggs and extracts.

5Drain raisin water; add enough water to make 1 cup.

6Add alternately with dry ingredients.

7Bake in a 350° oven for approximately 20 minutes.
