  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 tsp. shredded orange peel
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1/2 c. lemon peel
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

    In a saucepan, cook and stir until thick and bubbly the brown sugar, cornstarch, raisins, juices and peels.

    Add 1/2 cup of water.

    Remove from heat and stir in the nuts.

    Fill a 9-inch pie plate.

    Put lattice work on top.

    Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until golden color.
