Raisin Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. box raisins
  • sugar to taste
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. flour
  • 1 small can applesauce
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • pie dough for 2 crusts (on a cookie sheet)

Directions

    Cover raisins with water and simmer until plump. Add applesauce and simmer for a few minutes more. Add flour, sugar and cinnamon.

    Mix well. Cool and make a rich pie crust.

    Line cookie sheet with crust.

    Put raisin mixture on crust and spread.

    Cover with the rest of the crust.

    Perforate crust with fork. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    When done, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool. Cut into squares.
