  • 1 (16oz.) package shell macaroni
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 envelope Ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar( to balance out all the salt. Don't add salt until you taste. Also it will taste salty but after you mix it with the macaroni its fine)
  • 2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese mixture
  • 5 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Colby jack

    Cook macaroni according to package directions

    Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine milk, butter, dressing mix, garlic salt, pepper and sugar; heat through

    Stir in cheddar cheese mixture and Velveeta cheese until melted

    Stir in sour cream.

    Keep this on low until noodles are cooked.

    It will be a little runny but it will thicken up in the oven

    Drain macaroni and let cool for 5 minutes

    Add macaroni to cheese sauce and stir until combined

    Transfer macaroni and cheese to a greased, 13x9 baking dish.

    Top with Colby jack cheese.

    Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes
