  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/4 c. Bisquick or Jiffy
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Mix the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan; boil for 5 minutes.

    Pour into an 8-inch square dish. Mix the remaining ingredients.

    Spoon batter on top of sugar mixture.

    It will sink into the liquid and spread out as it bakes. Bake for 45 minutes.

    Serve warm with plain or whipped cream.
