- 1 cake yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/3 tsp. soda
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Add sugar and oil.

3Mix flour, baking soda and salt together and add alternately with buttermilk to mixture.

4Roll out on floured surface and cut into biscuits or drop by spoonful.

5Does not have to rise, but they are better if left to rise 15 to 20 minutes.

6Bake at 400° until brown.
