  • 1 c. margarine, at room temperature
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • yolks of 2 large eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. raspberry jam (red)
  • 2 Tbsp. 10x sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Beat margarine and sugar.

    Add egg yolks and beat.

    Stir in flour 1/2 cup at a time to form a soft dough.

    Press 1 1/4 cups of dough into bottom of a 9-inch square pan.

    Spread jam on it.

    Pat remaining dough on top.

    Sprinkle evenly with confectioners sugar and nuts.

    Bake for 35 minutes at 375°.

    Remove and cool.

    Makes 36 bars.
