Raspberry-Chocolate Bars

- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 (12 oz.) jar seedless red raspberry jam
- 1 2/3 c. semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, pecans, butter and egg; stir until crumbly.

3Set aside 1 1/2 cups of this pecan mixture.

4Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

5Spread the raspberry jam over all.

6Sprinkle with chocolate chips, then top with the remaining crumb mixture.

7Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.

8Cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars.

9Yield: 3 dozen bars.
